Waterline is a very personal work that refers to my nostalgia for my hometown, there is a Chinese ancient poem said, Don't stray far from home when your parents are there.

This installation piece constructed by ready-made objects, projection video, sound, and letters, it's all about displacement, my physical existence and my feeling towards hometown.

Measurement the distance with my hometown just like a boat drifting in the river,

like the waterline.

《不游》是一个非常个人的影像装置作品，关于我与家庭、家乡的关系和我的乡愁。题目来自于：“父母在，不远游，游必有方“。

作品启发自我母亲在我远行前的背包中藏着的一本笔记本，每一页手写着她对我的祝福与叮嘱，而这本笔记本在我到达美国三个月后才在背包夹层中发现。

这个作品通过集合多种媒介，包括现成品，投影影像，音轨，信件等，表达一种物理错位与自我统一的自洽感。

衡量我与家的距离，

像漂在河里的船，

像浮沉的水位线。
